About YouthHire
Canada's youth employment platform — connecting students, new grads, and young workers with employers hiring for entry-level, part-time, and first-job roles.
Built for Canada's Next Generation
YouthHire is built for young Canadians taking their first real step into the workforce. We focus on roles that matter for young workers — entry-level positions, part-time work that fits around school, co-ops, summer jobs, and early-career opportunities where a first yes can change everything.
We believe the first few jobs in a person's life do more than pay the bills — they shape habits, confidence, and a sense of what's possible. This platform exists to make that first step easier on both sides of the hire.
🤝
Our Commitment to Young Workers
Youth unemployment in Canada sits well above the national average. A big reason is simple — young workers need a first job to get a next job, and too many employers filter them out before they ever get a chance. YouthHire is built to shift that.
We prioritize postings open to entry-level, part-time, and no-experience-required candidates
We partner with schools, student unions, and community youth programs to make listings visible where young job seekers actually look
We push back on postings that require years of experience for jobs that shouldn't — and we update our practices when young workers tell us we can do better
We commit to transparency about our progress and our limitations
🌱
Students, New Grads & First-Job Seekers
Whether you're looking for your first part-time gig while studying, a summer job, a co-op placement, or the first role after graduation — YouthHire is built around the kinds of jobs young Canadians actually want to apply for.
Employers posting on YouthHire can reach motivated young workers ready to learn, show up, and grow with the role.
Frequently asked questions
Is YouthHire free for job seekers?+
Yes. Searching and applying for jobs on YouthHire is completely free. We never charge job seekers for access, applications, or recommendations.
Who is YouthHire for?+
YouthHire is built for young Canadians starting their work lives — high school and post-secondary students, new grads, and first-time job seekers. Employers posting here should expect motivated candidates early in their careers, not 10-year veterans.
What kinds of jobs are posted?+
Part-time work that fits around school, summer jobs, co-op and internship placements, entry-level full-time roles, and first-career positions. We focus on roles that genuinely welcome young workers — postings requiring years of prior experience aren't a fit here.
Do I need experience to apply?+
Most roles on YouthHire are open to applicants with little or no prior work experience. Each posting lists its requirements clearly, and we encourage employers to spell out what they're genuinely looking for — not aspirational wish-lists.
Where are the jobs located?+
Across Canada — every province and territory. You can filter by city, province, or remote work. Many postings are hybrid or fully remote, making them easier to combine with school.
How much does it cost to post a job?+
Employers buy credits and spend one credit per posting. New employers get 5 free posting credits at signup during our grand opening. See the Pricing page for current rates and volume discounts.
How long does a posting stay live?+
Each posting runs until its expiry date (set by the employer at posting time). We send the employer a reminder 7 days before expiry so they can renew or let it close.
